Once again, the Sega/Sonic the Hedgehog animation community, Sonic Paradox, has gone ahead and hosted an old project by John "EspioKaos" Weeks and I! From 2011, comes this collection of all the music from the 1991 Sega Genesis / Mega Drive classic, Sonic the Hedgehog, redone as piano/electronic covers! Check it out below. ^_^ Album cover art by RGXSuperSonic.

Back in 2012, I was really getting into MIDI composing and wanted to take a stab at remaking a favorite tune from the 1987 NES game Castlevania II: Simon's Quest. In particular, I wanted to try remixing the tune, Bloody Tears, in a piano/electronic sound scheme I had been tinkering with and would use for several years. I managed to rebuild the original tune by ear with some help from my younger brother [Alias: Aaraboga Jones] to help debug the MIDI sequence. Here are the results of a handful of days of work. Despite being a novice composer/remixer, I'm still quite pleased with how this track turned out back then. Hope you enjoy this old project of mine. ^_^

Back in 2013, MIDI composer John "EspioKaos" Weeks and I teamed up to create a new album. A compilation, which would contain all the music from the 8-bit Sega Master System and Gear Gear versions of Sonic 2, redone as piano/electronic covers and remixes. At long last, this project is finally being hosted on the main YouTube channel of the Sega and Sonic the Hedgehog animation community, known as Sonic Paradox! ^_^ A community I've been an active member and contributor of since 2008, with my premier being the voice of Dr. Eggman in one segment of Sonic Shorts Volume 3.

At any rate, you can give this project a listen on YouTube or snag a free download off of MediaFire below. ^_^

It's been quite a long time since I've gotten to do voice work for a big project! With a very special thanks to RogerregoRRoger, I got to voice Dr. Robobik in his latest animated parody, Sonic the OVA Movie in 8 minutes!

Back in 2012, I managed to create a piano/electronic remix on my own of the song "Bloody Tears" from the 1987 Konami video game Castlevania II: Simon's Quest. I was learning more about sequencing MIDIs on my own and this track was the result after 3 days of composing, with help from some friends to debug this MIDI sequence. Check it out on SoundCloud for listening and downloads!

This track was posted here on Newgrounds back in 2012 to coincide with Halloween, but it was taken down by moderation nearly a year ago and I am still waiting, nearly a year since the take-down, to hear back from the Audio Portal moderators on my appeal. Oh, well.

Perhaps a remix of "Vampire Killer" from the 1st Castlevania game would be a good way to get back into making more music? Just a matter of getting a bunch of old programs to work on Windows 10 in some manner, such as virtual machines.

Hope you enjoy this old track. ^_^

Honestly, I never thought I would still be around here this long to attain Level 60. Well, back to lurking.

It's been rough dealing with having nearly 8 years of audio suddenly get taken down by moderation due to technicalities.

3 months later, I'm still waiting to hear back from moderation on a handful of tracks that I did make on my own. Namely a piano/electronic remix of Bloody Tears from Castlevania II: Simon's Quest and piano/electronic covers of the main theme Spacde Harrier and Pass Through the Forest from Threads of Fate/Dew Prism. I should note: I later edited the piano/electronic cover of the Space Harrier theme to create a remix, which was thankfully nether falsely-flagged or taken down. Perhaps the moderators are busy or forgot? [shrug]

Meanwhile, I've re-enabled what little audio from well over 100 entries had been spared.

As for old movies, like Tales from the Toy Chest, those are unrecoverable. I have no desire to repost those 10+ year old stop-motion animation projects and having them go through Judgement a 2nd time.

Just going to re-add the favorite authors and entries I can remember from years gone by in the meantime.

Well, anyone who still visits this page may note how my audio collection is missing and how my reviews, Favorites and whatnot are all gone.

Well, nearly my entire audio catalog, after 8 years of submissions in collaboration with John "EspioKaos" Weeks was recently removed by moderation here. Turns out, these collabs are actually not permitted on Newgrounds, despite having full permission from EspioKaos to use his works to create piano/electronic covers and remixes of music from various Sonic the Hedgehog games. Certainly is not fun to find out, several years later, nearly all your music collabs should have been removed anyway years ago due to a technicality.

It's been well over a month and I am still waiting to hear back from moderation here to see if anything from my audio catalog can be salvaged as I did create some remixes and covers completely on my own by ear a while back.

I feel pretty empty here with nearly everything gone, so I erased my reviews, collections, etc. and have taken down what little remained of my music and some old movie projects: mainly because I personally have no desire or incentive to post content on Newgrounds for now. Any further audio collabs with EspioKaos will be relegated to my YouTube channel and SoundCloud from now on.

I'll be lurking around for the time being. May as well try and hit Level 60 as well as maxing out my Blam/Protect rank.

I may come back with new music and movies at some point, but for the time being, losing nearly everything on Newgrounds cut far too deep. I will at least publish new posts here if I am involved with other projects or have new music to post on YouTube or SoundCloud.

Nothing more to report for now. In the meantime, I present my most-listened to track on YouTube and SoundCloud.

A piano/electronic cover, in collaboration with EspioKaos, of the bad ending theme from the Game Gear version of Sonic 2. This was also used for the ending credits of Sonic Shorts Volume 8 from Sonic Paradox. Appearently, this track has been used in a number of fan-games, as well.
